EN 149 specifies particle filtering half masks (FFP1–FFP3), EN 12941/12942 powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR), EN 143 dust filters (P1–P3) and EN 14387 gas and vapour filters (A, B, E, K, AX) which are used together to provide respiratory protection in various environments where dust, aerosols, gases or vapours are present.
